Bring the texture of an ocean journey into your home.
The journey of a piece of driftwood is a long and mysterious one. Beaten by the waves and sun for years changes the look and feel of these simple pieces of wood into something more. Maybe that is why they are so desirable, because they make us ask questions. Where did they come from? What kind of currents did they take to get to our shores? How long have they been floating in the ocean?
Searching New England coastlines for these natural pieces of art has been a hobby of mine for a long time, and it doesn’t hurt that it requires taking long walks on the beach. From the Provincetown peninsula to the small harbors of Rhode Island, each piece of wood on this site has been personally collected by myself. Some are perfect for hand carving, some pieces are great for making a bench or a lamp, while others are too unique to alter.
